Critical Care
When patients are critically ill, there should be no question about the resources they need and no excuses about lack of capacity. The Wellington - the UK's largest private hospital - provides an unquestionably high standard of care, specialist expertise and technology, whether day or night, offering:
- 24hr on-site pharmacy support with access to pharmacists experienced in critical care
- 24hr theatre support, including cardio-pulmonary bypass and laminar flow facilities
- On-call Consultant Neurologist, Haemotologist and Consultant Physician
- Open access to cutting-edge radiology with full imaging capabilities that include the latest 64-slice CT, MRI, ultrasound and general X-ray, all supported by state of the art PACS systems.
By definition, criticality is time sensitive - delay is not an option. Our team of Consultant Intensivists are on 24-hour call, led by Dr. Adrian Steele and Dr. Simon Ashworth. The unit is staffed by 24-hour resident medical cover by Intensivist RMOs (Specialist Registrars) and specialist nursing teams.
